Levy, Grant and SSP updates

Due to high demand for renewal courses, CITB have further extended the grace period for Site Safety Plus renewals until 30 November 2020. This applies to qualifications expiring after 15 March 2020. First Aid qualifications that had expired during the COVID crisis still need to be renewed by 30 September.

CITB Levy registered businesses should have now received their 2019 Levy Assessment bill, which was deferred from the usual Spring issue. Businesses can make payment in a lump sum, or by setting up a direct debit for 12 installments. Either option needs to be in place within a month, or grant payments will be held up.

The deadline for making outstanding grant claims for 2019-20 is 30 November 2020.

The New Apprentice Support Grant was withdrawn from 31 August 2020, due to increased incentives from government.

The Work Experience Grant (degree related) will be withdrawn from October 2021, and from 1 October 2020 will be capped to a maximium of £10,000 per Employer. More more details, click here.

From 1 October 2020, the specific plant-related VQ units will be withdrawn and no longer grant aided.
