Government Funding Updates

The Small Business Grant Fund comes to an end on 28 August 2020 and no more payments will be made after that. If you think you’re entitled, but haven’t received this, claim by 14 August, as processing can take up to 2 weeks.

The Local Authority Discretionary Grant also comes to an end on 28 August 2020, so check with your local council if you are eligible and how to apply.

The Self Employed Income Support Scheme opens on 17 August for 2nd grant claims and closes on 19 October 2020.

£20m to support SMEs with specialist advice and digital support will be accessed through the local growth hubs, once available. Grants will cover 100% of costs from £1,000 to £5,000, excluding VAT. 

£20m to improve Leadership, Management and Problem solving skills within SMEs. 6,000 places are available on the Peer Network Programme and a further 2,000 places on a 10 week Small Business Leadership Programme.
