COVID-19 Financial Support updates

The Recovery Loan Scheme launched yesterday (6 April) to provide additional finance to businesses that need it.

This new government-backed loan scheme can be used as an additional loan on top of support received from the emergency schemes – such as the Bounce Back Loan Scheme and Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme, which closed to new applications on 31 March. This scheme is open until 31 December 2021.

The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme was updated in March, with guidance updated to include the arrangements up to the end of the scheme in September 2021.

Details of the 4th and 5th Self Employed Income Support Scheme grants have also been released. HMRC will contact eligible claimants.
