CITB Grant Claims due by 30 November

This is a reminder that 30 November 2020 is the last date to make claims for outstanding grants from the 2019-20 training year.

However, it may be worth processing BEFORE 26 November, as CITB finance systems are undergoing planned maintenance from 26 November until 2 December. Grant payments may be delayed as a result.

  • Achievement Grants for both long and short period qualifications

  • Short Duration Grants for courses not processed by the training provider.

  • Work Experience grant (for degree industry placements).

  • Additional plant unit achievements for the period 1 April 2020 until 30 September 2020 need to be claimed by 31 December 2020. The grants for achievement after 30 September have been withdrawn.

30 November 2020 is also the deadline for ensuring your 2019-20 levy return has been submitted. Without this, your grant claims will not be processed.

Grants for short duration courses from 1 April 2020, that have not been processed by an Approved Training Provider need to be claimed through the online portal within 20 weeks of the course.

The 20 week rule also applies to claiming attendance grant for Apprentices and Long Period qualifications.
