Who We Are
The objective of the group is to offer mutual support and share best practice; to increase the value our businesses get from training.
It is widely recognised that better motivated staff, improved morale, retaining a skilled workforce and increasing productivity are critical to improving performance in the construction industry.
We believe that effective training is the key route to these benefits.
The North Yorkshire Construction Training Group is, a not for profit organisation funded by the CITB to support the specialist training needs of the construction industry.
'We joined the group just over a year ago and have found it to be one of the best things we did, with regard to support and training.
The information passed on through the group meetings has been invaluable and every time we mention a concern to Lorraine it has been looked into and help passed back. Instead of it just being a way to get some cheaper training it has been an eye opener to our small company as to the breadth of knowledge and support available. With the wide spectrum of companies involved I realise that we all hit glitches but as a group we have very sound advice to pass on. Many thanks to NYCTG.'
Catherine Windross, Managing Director, Ryedale Plasterers Ltd
